What is refresh rate and why is it important?

Modified on Mon, 23 Jun at 5:05 PM

Refresh rate (measured in Hertz, Hz) indicates how many times per second the image on the screen is updated.

60Hz: Standard for the most general use and office tasks.

120Hz, 144Hz, 240Hz+: Higher refresh rates provide a smoother, more fluid visual experience, especially beneficial for gaming where it can reduce motion blur and input lag.
