I'm getting an "Access Denied" or "Camera in Use" error when trying to use my camera. What's causing this?

This error often points to a driver issue or a system recognizing the hardware. 


1.) Open your computer's Device Manager (Windows) or System Information > USB (macOS) to see if the camera is listed. If it has a yellow exclamation mark or isn't listed, you likely need to update or reinstall the camera drivers. You can usually find these on your computer manufacturer's website (for built-in cameras) or the webcam manufacturer's website (for external cameras). Running a system diagnostic or troubleshooting tool can also sometimes identify and resolve driver conflicts.
