1) Check for Windows Updates
Click the Start Menu (Windows logo).
Go to Settings (gear icon).
Select Update & Security.
Click Windows Update in the sidebar.
Click Check for updates.
If updates are found, click Download and install.
Restart the computer when prompted.
2) Update Drivers Using Dell Support Assist
Dell has a tool called Support Assist that automates driver and firmware updates.
Option A: If You Already Have Support Assist
Press the Start button, type Support Assist, and open it.
Click Run All or go to Get Drivers & Downloads.
Follow the prompts to download and install updates.
Restart the computer if required.
Option B: If You Don’t Have Support Assist
Go to: supportassist.dell.com
Download and install Support Assist for Home PCs.
Follow steps in Option A above.
3) Manually Update Drivers (Alternative Method)
Visit Dell's official support page.
Enter your Service Tag (on the bottom of your laptop or in BIOS), or select your device manually.
Go to Drivers & Downloads.
Download and install the recommended driver updates (chipset, graphics, network, etc.).
4) Check for BIOS/Firmware Updates
Updating BIOS is sensitive. Make sure your device is plugged in and don’t interrupt the process.
In Support Assist, BIOS updates are usually listed under Drivers & Downloads.
Or manually:
Go to Dell's support page.
Find your device > Drivers & Downloads > Filter by BIOS.
Download and run the update file.
Follow on-screen prompts to complete the update.
5) Restart Your Computer
After updates, reboot your PC to apply all changes properly.
