1 ): Check Compatibility

Make sure your iPhone supports the latest version of iOS. You can check on Apple’s official site.

  2) Back Up Your iPhone

Before updating, it's a good idea to back up your data.

Option A: iCloud Backup

Connect to Wi-Fi.

Go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud > iCloud Backup.

Tap Back Up Now.

Option B: Backup using a computer

Connect your iPhone to your Mac or PC.

Open Finder (on Mac) or iTunes (on Windows).

Select your iPhone, then choose Back Up Now.

  3) Connect to Wi-Fi and Power

Make sure your iPhone:

Has at least 50% battery (or is plugged in).

Is connected to a stable Wi-Fi network.

  4) Install the iOS Update

Open Settings.

Tap General.

Tap Software Update.

Your iPhone will check for updates.

If an update is available, tap Download and Install.

Enter your passcode (if prompted).

Agree to the Terms and Conditions.

Tap Install Now or let it auto-install overnight (if scheduled).

 5) Wait for the Update to Complete

Your iPhone will restart during the process.

You’ll see the Apple logo and a progress bar.

Step 6: Set Up Post-Update (if needed)

You may be asked to enter your Apple ID password.

Follow any on-screen instructions to finish setting up.
