Adjusting Screen Time Content & Privacy Restrictions (Most Common Cause)
This is the most common reason for website restrictions on an iPhone. If you or someone else (like a parent) has set up Screen Time, certain websites or types of content can be blocked.
Go to Settings: Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
Tap Screen Time: Scroll down and tap on "Screen Time."
Tap Content & Privacy Restrictions: If it's on, tap this option.
Enter your Screen Time Passcode: If a passcode was set, you'll need to enter it here. This is different from your iPhone's unlock passcode. If you don't know it, you might need the person who set it up to enter it, or if it's your own, you might be able to reset it using your Apple ID (if that option was configured).
Tap Content Restrictions:
Tap Web Content: Here you'll see options for web access:
Unrestricted Access: This will allow access to all websites.
Limit Adult Websites: This is the default setting and will attempt to block explicit content.
Only Allowed Websites: This is the most restrictive option, allowing access only to specific websites you've added to a list.
Adjust as Needed: Choose "Unrestricted Access" to remove all web content restrictions.
