Laptop Overheating?

Modified on Thu, 26 Jun at 2:53 PM

1.Check and clean the vents:

Use compressed air to blow out dust from the cooling vents of the laptop. Dust accumulation can block airflow and cause overheating.

2. Place the laptop on a hard, flat surface:

Avoid soft surfaces like beds or couches that can block the cooling fans. Always use it on a desk or table.

3. Use a cooling pad:

Invest in a laptop cooling pad to help dissipate heat more effectively.

4. Monitor temperature using software:

Download HWMonitor or Core Temp to track CPU and GPU temperatures. If they exceed 85°C, you may have a cooling issue.

5.Adjust power settings:

Go to Control Panel > Power Options and select Power Saver or a custom plan that lowers CPU performance during lighter tasks.
