1) Prepare Your Devices
Make sure your iPhone is updated to the latest version of iOS.
Keep your Apple Watch on its charger and make sure it’s at 50% battery or higher.
Connect your iPhone to Wi-Fi and keep it near the watch.
2) Check for WatchOS Update
Open the Watch app on your iPhone.
Tap the My Watch tab (bottom left).
Go to General > Software Update.
Wait while it checks for updates.
3) Download and Install
If an update is available, tap Download and Install.
Enter your iPhone passcode or Apple Watch passcode if prompted.
Agree to the Terms & Conditions.
The update will begin downloading to your iPhone, then transfer to your Watch.
4) Wait for the Update
Keep your Apple Watch on the charger and near your iPhone.
The Apple Watch will restart when the update is done (you’ll see the Apple logo and a progress ring).
Method 2) Update Directly on Apple Watch (WatchOS 6 or later)
Step-by-Step:
On your Apple Watch, go to Settings.
Tap General > Software Update.
If an update is available, tap Download and Install.
Make sure your Watch is:
On Wi-Fi.
On its charger.
At least 50% charged.
